Martial arts movies that is timeless. Even the former simply better with time and receive a classic status, while some of the latest films directly produced classics.
The older style of films used less special effects such as CGI and wires hidden and depend only on the martial arts skills of actors. When the CGI was great, many early Chinese film-makers very quickly for use in them of all their movies at every opportunity, much to the dismay of many surveys of the film.
Some of the more recent films kung fu forgot everything about CGI and only very sporadically use hidden wires for dramatic effect. An example is the movie of 2008 hesitation “ip man” Donny Yen. The film was a showcase for the Chinese martial arts and show that some say classic story. Not surprisingly, they receive a whole range of rewards in Hong Kong Film Awards.
Everyone likes different types of martial arts movie, but for me, the best kung fu films are those that are set in ancient China and show how life used to this fascinating country. The good thing is that there are only so many kung fu movies available that will take a lifetime to the track.
