The year 1998 saw a Japanese movie that was also named ring according to the horror movie reviews, this was the beginning of the presence of a mass audience in films in different countries. Similar Japanese horror films with subtitles and concluded the public demand for more information. The ring was based on a novel by Koji Suzuki, and was inspired by Japanese Banchō Sarayashiki folk-history. The story talks about a teenager-Tomoko, viewing a videotape that was cursed and then receives a phone call. The videotape showed a woman said it will die within a week and she dies, her other friends.
